Game modes: which one to play first
Boome Slime has a mode for a quiet five minutes and a mode for a noisy eight-slime brawl. Every opponent is an AI bot. There is no matchmaking and no waiting for other players, so any mode starts the moment you tap it.
Story: 15 stages in three chapters
Story is the main road. Fifteen stages in three chapters run from The Quiet Spring to The Heart Spring, with up to 45 stars to collect. Each stage gives you one clear goal: reach the portal, collect, defeat enemies, survive or clear the guardians. Guide 5 explains goals and stars in detail.
Expeditions: hundreds of stages
Expeditions are where the long game lives: hundreds of stages spread across routes, with the Coral Warden waiting further in. Expect new arena tricks along the way, like conveyors, magnets, wormholes and water columns.
Duel and Classic team rounds
- Duel is one on one against a bot. It is the cleanest way to practise reading blast lines.
- Classic 2v2 puts you with one AI teammate against two bots.
- Classic 4v4 is the big one: you and three AI teammates against four bots, eight slimes on one board.
In team rounds, rescue trapped teammates and defeat the other team. If you get trapped yourself, your teammates keep fighting, so a round is not over just because you are.
Candy collection
Candy appears on the board and different candies are worth different points. The team with the highest score when time runs out wins. Defeating an opponent makes them drop part of their candy points, and the same happens to you, so stay careful while you carry a lead.
Crystal transport
Energy crystals appear at set spots. Pick one up and carry it to your camp for a team point; the team that delivers the most wins. A carrier moves more slowly and cannot use skills or some items, and a carrier who gets trapped drops the crystal right there. Escort your carrier, and intercept theirs.
Survival
Stay inside the safe zone while it shrinks toward the centre. The last team standing wins. You can play it solo or as a duo.
Practice and Training
Practice lets you pick the bot level (Easy, Normal or Hard) or switch the opponent off entirely. Your coins and story progress stay safe there. Training is a set of short lessons that show how each mode and power-up works, one step at a time.
Where to start
- Play the first Training lessons, then the opening Story stages.
- When escapes feel natural, try a Duel on Normal.
- Move up to Classic 4v4 once you can count blast lines without thinking.
Quick answers
Can I play against my friends?
Not at the moment. Every mode is you, with or without AI teammates, against AI bots.
Which mode is best for beginners?
Training, then Story. Practice on Easy is a good place to try a new idea without any pressure.
