Candy collection and crystal transport: how to win both modes
Both modes are team battles against bots that last about three minutes, and a KO is not the end: you are back in play after about five seconds. So you win by points, not by being the last slime standing. In Candy collection, grab the high-value candy and avoid getting caught while carrying a lot. In Crystal transport, carry crystals back to your own base and protect your carrier.
Where to find them
Open the Arena tab from the home screen. Below the 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4 picker, pick Candy collection or Crystal transport. Choose a difficulty (Easy, Normal or Hard), pay the coin entry fee and press Battle. Every other slime on the board is a bot, so both modes play without internet. If you want to learn the rules first, the Training lessons include Candy battle, Candy scramble and Crystal transport.
Candy collection: 2 vs 2
- The board: a small arena, about 16 by 9 tiles.
- Candy values: 1, 5 or 10 points. Most candy is worth 1. The 10-point pieces are the rare ones, so they are worth a detour.
- How candy appears: a few pieces at the start, then more every few seconds on random free tiles, with only a handful on the ground at once.
- KOs cost candy: when a slime is KO'd, about a quarter of its candy points drop on nearby tiles, and anyone can grab them.
- Score: your team score is both players' candy added together. The top of the screen shows Candy A : B.
Tips for Candy collection
- When you are carrying a lot, play safer. You have more to lose than the bot chasing you.
- When an opponent is carrying a lot, that is the slime to trap. A KO drops part of their candy right where you can reach it.
- After a KO, move in for the dropped candy quickly, but check the blast lines first. Bots go for it too.
- Split up with your teammate. Two slimes on one side of the board leave the other side's candy to the bots.
Crystal transport: 4 vs 4
- The board: a wide arena, about 29 by 13 tiles, with one base for each team at the left and right edges.
- How crystals appear: in the middle third of the board, a few at the start and more every few seconds, with only a handful in play at once.
- Carrying: you can hold one crystal at a time. While you carry it you move at about 70% speed and cannot use skills or some battle items.
- Delivering: step on your own team's base to score one point. The top of the screen shows Delivered A : B.
- Dropping: if a carrier is trapped or KO'd, the crystal falls on that tile and anyone can pick it up.
Tips for Crystal transport
- A carrier is slow, so it is an easy target. If a teammate is carrying, walk ahead of them and clear the path.
- Trap the other team's carriers near the middle. The crystal drops there, close enough for your team to grab.
- Do not carry a crystal down a narrow corridor. With your speed reduced, one bubble at the far end is hard to escape.
- Keep someone between the middle and your base. A dropped crystal often decides a close round.
What happens at time-up
When the timer runs out, the team with more points wins: more candy in Candy collection, more deliveries in Crystal transport. If the score is level, the match is a draw.
Being trapped works as usual in both modes. See Guide 4 for how teammates free you. For the other ways to play, see Guide 6: game modes and Guide 8: play with friends.
Quick answers
How do you win Candy collection?
Have more candy points than the other team when the timer runs out, about three minutes. Your score is both teammates' candy added together.
How do you win Crystal transport?
Deliver more crystals to your own base than the other team before time is up. Each delivery is one point.
What happens when you are KO'd?
You come back after about five seconds. In Candy collection you drop part of your candy first; in Crystal transport you drop the crystal you were carrying.
Can you play these modes without internet?
Yes. All the other slimes are bots, so both modes run on your device.
